How the AI voice generator works
- 01
Write or paste the script
Each paragraph becomes its own line. Drop in (laughs) or a pause marker wherever the read should breathe, and add pronunciation fixes for names the voice might stumble on.
- 02
Choose a voice and a delivery
Preview voices before you spend anything, then set emotion, speed, pitch or an effect. The defaults read the text and pick a natural emotion on their own.
- 03
Listen, fix a line, download
Play the result, edit any single line that is off and update — only that line is re-recorded. Download the MP3 with matching SRT and VTT caption files.
What makes an AI voice generator sound like a person
Most people can tell a synthetic voice within two sentences, and it is rarely the tone that gives it away. It is the rhythm: every sentence lands with the same weight, nobody takes a breath, and a joke gets read exactly like a disclaimer. This AI voice generator is built around fixing that rhythm rather than chasing a slightly prettier timbre.
Three things do most of the work in any AI voice generator worth using. First, emotion. Leave it on automatic and the model reads the text and chooses a mood that fits each line; set it by hand when a line has to sound sad, surprised or calm regardless of the words. Second, non-speech sounds. Typing (laughs), (sighs), (breath) or (clear-throat) inside the script makes the voice actually do it at that spot, which is what turns a list of sentences into someone talking. Third, timing. A pause marker such as <#0.8#> holds silence for exactly that long, and the gap between paragraphs is adjustable, so a reveal can land after a beat instead of being rushed.
Line-level editing: why people keep this AI voice generator open
The most common complaint about text-to-speech tools is having to regenerate a whole paragraph — and pay for it again — because one word came out wrong. In this AI voice generator every paragraph is rendered as its own line and remembered. After a render, each line appears under the player as an editable box. Change the one that is off, press update, and only the edited line is sent to the voice; untouched lines come back from your previous render at no cost. Changing just the gap between lines costs nothing at all, because the audio is simply re-assembled.
That also makes long scripts practical. A ten-minute explainer can be written in one go, reviewed while you listen, and patched sentence by sentence the way an engineer punches in a correction in a recording studio — something a one-shot AI voice generator cannot do.
Names, brands and the words voices always get wrong
Open the pronunciation panel and teach the voice once: write the word as it appears in your script and how it should sound. "Nguyen" can be told to say "win", an acronym can be spelled out, and a product name can be given its stress. You can also write IPA in brackets for exact control. The fixes apply to every line of that render and stay attached when you update lines later.
Voices, languages and your own voice
The library holds 118 voices: 46 in English with American, British, Australian and Indian accents, twelve Japanese character voices, and voices in Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hindi, Arabic, Russian, Indonesian, Turkish, Dutch, Polish, Vietnamese and Thai. Every voice is level-matched, so a conversation between two of them does not jump in volume when the speaker changes. If none fits, describe the voice you want — age, accent, tone, pace — and the AI voice generator designs a new one, or you can clone a voice you have permission to use from a short recording. Both are optional paid extras; the stock voices cost nothing beyond the characters you render.
Finished audio comes with subtitles. Each render from the AI voice generator produces an SRT and a VTT file timed to the actual speech, ready for YouTube, Premiere, CapCut or a course platform, so the captions never drift from the voiceover.
If you need a specific character rather than a narrator, the same AI voice generator engine powers dedicated pages for a robot voice generator, a movie trailer voice, a British accent generator and anime voices, each with presets tuned for that sound.

What you can control in the AI voice generator
Line-by-line re-records
Edit one paragraph after a render and update. Unchanged lines are reused from your last take for free; only edited characters are charged.
Emotion per render
Automatic, happy, sad, angry, fearful, disgusted, surprised or calm. Automatic reads each line and chooses for you.
Sound tags in the text
(laughs), (chuckle), (sighs), (breath), (gasps), (clear-throat), (coughs), (humming) and (emm) are performed where you place them.
Exact pauses

Pronunciation fixes
Teach the voice up to 30 words per render — names, brands, acronyms — in plain spelling or IPA.
Captions included
Every render ships with SRT and VTT subtitles timed to the real audio, plus an MP3 you can use commercially.

Write scripts that sound spoken, not read
- Keep sentences under about 25 words. Long sentences force any AI voice generator to pick a single intonation for too much text.
- Spell out numbers the way you want them said: "twenty twenty-six" or "two thousand twenty-six", "five five five, zero one nine eight".
- Start a new paragraph wherever a human would take a breath or change topic — that is also where you will want to edit later.
- Use a sound tag sparingly. One (laughs) in a minute sounds natural; three in a row sounds staged.
- Read your script out loud once before rendering. If you stumble, the voice probably will too.
- For brand names, add a pronunciation fix before the first render instead of rewriting the word phonetically in the script.
If the AI voice generator gets something wrong
- A word is mispronounced
- Add it to pronunciation fixes, then edit that line (even a trailing space counts as a change) and update. Only that line is charged.
- The read feels flat
- Switch emotion from automatic to the mood you want, or split the paragraph so each idea gets its own intonation.
- It is too fast for a tutorial
- Drop speed to 0.9× and add 0.5–0.8 seconds between paragraphs. Pauses help comprehension more than slow speech.
- The render failed
- Your credits are returned automatically. The most common cause is text the voice provider declines to read; rephrase and try again.
AI voice generator FAQ
Is the AI voice generator free to try?
New accounts receive free credits, which covers several minutes of voiceover at one credit per 400 characters. Voice previews in the library are always free.
Can I use AI voice generator audio commercially?
Yes. Audio you generate with the stock voices can be used in monetized videos, ads, courses and apps. Downloads are free and do not expire. Cloned voices may only be used with the speaker's permission.
How do I fix one sentence without paying for everything again?
After a render, edit that line in the list under the player and press update. The AI voice generator reuses the other lines from your previous render at no cost; you pay only for the characters in the edited line.
Which languages does the AI voice generator speak?
The library covers 19 languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hindi and Arabic. Language is detected from your text automatically.
Do I get subtitles?
Every render includes SRT and VTT files timed to the generated speech. Sound tags such as (laughs) are left out of the captions.
How long can a script be in the AI voice generator?
Up to 5,000 characters in the editor on this page and 30,000 characters per render through the line editor. For audiobooks, render chapter by chapter.
Can I make my own voice?
Yes. Design a voice from a written description for 50 credits, or clone a voice from 10 seconds to 5 minutes of audio for 30 credits, with a consent confirmation. Render with a new voice within a week of creating it, because the provider deletes voices that go unused for seven days.
What happens if a render fails?
Credits for a failed render are refunded automatically, and an interrupted render resumes when you reload the page instead of charging you twice.
How is this different from a free online text-to-speech site?
Most free text-to-speech sites read the text once with one tone. This AI voice generator lets you place laughs, breaths and exact pauses, choose an emotion, fix pronunciation, and re-record a single line later without paying for the whole script again — and it gives you subtitle files with every render.
